First of all, A warm salute to all builders of our Republic on behalf of whole nation. It gives me great pleasure to state that today,India has celebrated his 66th Republic Day with great energy.

Facts about Indian Republic Day -

Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950.
The Constitution was passed by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 but was adopted on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system.
It is one of three national holidays in India, the other two being Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanti.
The main Republic Day celebration is held in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the President of India. On this day, ceremonious parades take place at the Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to India.
